Event: Mambo de Chocobo Mingle Post

It starts on what should have been another ordinary day.

“Wark?”

You may be at the hotel, shopping in a store, eating out at a restaurant, or anywhere else in Edge. A large bird is looking at you. Or walking around the building. Or trying to eat some food anywhere it sees some.

There are more such birds. They come in many different colors. And they are everywhere, getting into everything.

Soon ads go up around town about the wayward chocobos. They escaped from some trucks and the truckers will pay to get them back. Time to load up on greens, bring a friend or two, and try to bring them in!

He blinks in surprise. "... Yes, I suppose I could," he says. "If any are playing." He has no idea what's out now.

He would have to make sure such a film wasn't too gory, at least, before taking her.

"Sometimes. I try to go to the theater, but Nani usually catches me."

He would definitely question what the gore level was in these movies then. And if it was high, well ... he wouldn't be sure what to think.

"What are some of those movies?"

Maybe they had something similar.

She started to name them off. The names were.... yeaaaah. Not things a little kid should be watching for certain.

Sephiroth hadn't heard of them, but he could glean plenty from the titles.

"Ah. I thought perhaps it was something like The Blob."

Cheesy 1950s B-quality movies.

Not pleasant either, but he'd sooner let a child watch that than an all-out modern gore fest.

He had no idea if it had endured in the last decade.

"We can try the library, perhaps?" He wasn't sure where else to look. He didn't have any subscriptions to streaming services.

No... life-streaming services?

"Libraries?" she asked, wrinkling her nose. Books weren't as much fun as movies.

"They have DVDs there," he said. "They used to have videocassettes, but I believe they phased those out...."
