A large poster is being put up in the hotel lobby by the blue-winged Sephiroth. On it is information about two inconvenient and annoying problems that can happen in this world: Small and Frog. It tells what monsters cast these spells, shows what they look like, and tells the items that fix the problems.

If approached, Sephiroth will turn and speak with you.

“Apparently there’s been an influx of new victims lately,” he grunts in displeasure. “I don’t have these specific problems in my world, and it seems other worlds don’t always have them either, so we decided everyone here should be informed.

“I personally am immune to magic effects, including these, but I’m carrying plenty of Remedies, Cornucopias, and Maiden’s Kiss items to help those affected. The other Sephiroth apparently has the power to inherently remove these effects without using items. Come see one of us if you’re affected and don’t have these items. They should be able to be purchased at item shops throughout Edge.

“Also ...” He gives a stern look. “I hope no one will be foolish enough to think that being small or a frog sounds fun and deliberately goes seeking out the monsters that cast these spells. It takes time and resources to fix these problems. Don’t make us use them if we don’t have to.” He’s suspicious that at least one person here may think it sounds fun. “The monsters are dangerous and also cast far more damaging spells. And even if they only use Transformation magic, that can also be dangerous. I highly doubt anyone really wants to be six inches tall in a wilderness surrounded by monsters.”

((OOC: Players can interact with Sephiroth in the lobby, help look for victims, or be victims in need of help. This is part of life on Gaia, so this post will always be open if anyone wishes to engage with these problems. Alternately, characters can at any time make a separate post including such problems happening, if they want!))

7th Heaven Hotel

Seifer admittedly hadn't had either the energy or much of anything else to pay attention to half of what was going on. He'd found the hotel that was set up for people showing up out of nowhere, grumbled his way through getting a room, and promptly face planted in to the bed once the door was locked behind him.

The young man who'd emerged nearly a day later looked... better than the one who'd walked in. There was a certain magic to sleeping and a hot shower. Better wasn't great though, and there was only so much that could be done short term to get himself not looking like he'd been dragged backwards through a nightmare.

A nightmare he'd... deal with later.

The basics of survival mattered more; he had shelter and water, at least for the moment, but no idea about the food situation in this place and no money on him to buy any in the city beyond.

Seifer stepped from the elevator to what seemed to be some kind of lobby-ish-thing and looked around for someone to ask questions of. He'd left his (currently tattered) coat up in the room, though Hyperion hung on him still. Coats were replaceable, gunblades might not be if he got chased out of here.

"Hey, uh... anyone here?" he called out, not spotting anyone immediately.

Around The City

Seifer eventually gets away from the hotel, keen to explore Edge and get a sense of what this place had going on.

There was a few things he was looking for as he strode through streets like he knew what he was doing, some sort of public library, somewhere willing to hire him, and a weaponsmith. Not necessarily in that order, but those where the top three priorities of what he wanted to find.

The biggest thing he hadn't wanted to find was, apparently, sitting on the edge of town like the flying fortress belonged there.

The sight of Balamb Garden had a vicious sort of clawing guilt rise in his throat. He knew who'd likely be there, though wasn't sure if it would be worse if the place was abandoned instead.

More things to watch out for, but to avoid rather than seek, at least for the moment.

Seifer had found a wall to lean against, rubbing his hands over his face and letting out a heaving sigh. He hadn't noticed that he'd sunk down in to a squat, though he did crack his fingers apart at the sound of someone approaching and glare out.

"What?"

((OOC: Event posts can either be top-levels here or separate posts to the Logs or Network comms!))

It starts on what should have been another ordinary day.

“Wark?”

You may be at the hotel, shopping in a store, eating out at a restaurant, or anywhere else in Edge. A large bird is looking at you. Or walking around the building. Or trying to eat some food anywhere it sees some.

There are more such birds. They come in many different colors. And they are everywhere, getting into everything.

Soon ads go up around town about the wayward chocobos. They escaped from some trucks and the truckers will pay to get them back. Time to load up on greens, bring a friend or two, and try to bring them in!

WHO: STITCH, LILO PELEKAI, TIFA LOCKHART and OPEN.
WHAT: Looking for Lilo.
Where: EDGE.
When: Morning.
Warnings: None, Stitch tries to be good, so no need for cussing or vulgarness. He doesn't think of things like that anyways.

ROAMING THE STREETS
[Stitch didn't know rather or not he should approach the hotel everyone was going to or the big 'garden' everyone was talking about. All he knew is one moment he was talking to Lilo and the next she was gone, it hurt his heart to see her gone just like that. He hadn't seen her in the last two days. It bothered him quite a bunch.

Someone shooed him away as he tried to dash through the streets of Edge. He hid behind a planted pot, looking at the hotel just a few feet ahead. People were walking in and out every once in awhile but he hadn't seen Lilo yet. His instincts told him this is where Lilo went. It had to be. Stitch was never wrong.]

FINDING LILO
[A woman came outside on the doorstep and started sweeping. She had long dark hair and reddish brown eyes. She was pretty for a human. He moved from behind the potted plant and zipped underneath the doorstep, to the side of the stairs.] Psst. Miss.

[Tifa looked around, slightly confused. She looked down and nearly had a heart attack, but it wasn't that strange because you must remember Nanaki. She smiled.] How can I help you? [She stooped down to get close.]

Aloha! Have you seen this gurl? [He asked holding out a photo of him, Lilo and Nani, Jumba's eyeball was on a corner of the photo. Silly Jumba.]

[Tifa brightened.] Yes. Her name is Lilo Pelekai right?

Yeah! Yeah! [Stitch felt excited all over, he wanted to bounce off the walls. He was so happy.]

[Tifa reached down and patted him on the head like he were a small child.] She's told me all about you. You're her bestfriend.

[Stitch frowned at the head pat and almost growled but something about this woman struck him as an okay person.] Yeah, we're besties! Can I see her?

[Tifa nodded.] Go right in, just don't destroy anything okay?

Okay. [Stitch said as he rolled by the stairs, up the stairs and past the front door.] LILO!!!

[Tifa giggled.] Rooms 1 and 2, Stitch. Be careful okay, my cleaner just mopped the floors.
