Event: Mambo de Chocobo Mingle Post

It starts on what should have been another ordinary day.

“Wark?”

You may be at the hotel, shopping in a store, eating out at a restaurant, or anywhere else in Edge. A large bird is looking at you. Or walking around the building. Or trying to eat some food anywhere it sees some.

There are more such birds. They come in many different colors. And they are everywhere, getting into everything.

Soon ads go up around town about the wayward chocobos. They escaped from some trucks and the truckers will pay to get them back. Time to load up on greens, bring a friend or two, and try to bring them in!

He looked worried at that. "The monsters here aren't friendly. They attack anyone who gets close."

"So did most of Stitch's cousins before we met them," she said, unconcerned.

"What did they do?" he asked, wondering if he wanted to know.

"One of them froze things. One caused earth quakes. One insulted everyone. One shot fire balls. One stole electricity and zapped people. One ate everyone's hair. One tried to flood the isle. One ate trash but then turned toxic cause of it and nearly destroyed the town. One makes sandwiches. One hypnotized people..." Once again she will keep going if not stopped.

Well, most of that sounded horrifying. Especially the hair monster. (Yes, he found that the most horrifying.) But ...

"What was so terrible about the sandwiches?"

"Nothing," he said. "Well... they bothered Gantu. But Ruben just had a special interest. He really likes sandwiches, you know."

"So then he wasn't trying to hurt people like the others were?"

"Nah. But the others didn't really want to hurt people either. Mostly. They were just being what they were made to be."

"... They were deliberately made to freeze things and eat hair?" More horror at the hair monster. Who would deliberately create something so vile?

"... Why on Gaia would he want to destroy hair?!"

Yes, he was fixated on that. He loved his hair.

"Well... Jumba just wanted an experiment to cut his hair so he didn't have to pay a barber... but Clippy likes hair more than Jumba expected, so he ate all of it. Now Jumba only has three hairs."

Ah, so it had been an accident. But the final pronouncement sent such horror through him that it took tremendous willpower not to sweep his hair around to his front and hold it protectively. "Why didn't it grow back?!"

"Clippy is reaaaal good. When Clippy eats something it stays eaten." she nodded.

"... That is truly terrifying," he proclaimed. "Your uncle should have made an antidote for the eaten hair."

In all honesty, Sephiroth could probably grow his hair back out of sheer force of will. It was easier than things he'd already done with his will. But he was still horrified by this.

"He tried. It never worked. Well, it sort of worked once, but then Clippy got him again."

Well, that was certainly a relief. Still ...

"Which ones wouldn't be happy about that?"

She considered. "Maybe Leroy. Well and Angel doesn't like having to hypnotize everybody, she just wants Stitch to love her," she said. She still had some jealousy issues there, because Stitch was HER friend, HER dog/alien. But... she was trying to be better about that. Cause Stitch did love Angel. It was easier cause Angel wasn't around all the time.
